1
Purchase Lemax collectibles display items, including any general products--trees, figurines, trains, light/sound pieces, table pieces and landscaping platforms/decorative items such as display mats, stones, leaves or moss. They are based on a Lemax village theme--for example, Caddington Village, Carnival, Spooky Town Collection, Harvest Crossing, Plymouth Corners, Santa's Wonderland or Vail Village--or a mix of themes that you can alternate year-round for holidays, seasons and other events.

2
Go to a hobby shop and buy additional non-Lemax miniature display accessories. For example, artificial snow for winter and Christmas, additional generic display platforms or landscaping felt. Keep in mind that these items help to create the illusion of a real village in miniature within your store. Through this illusion, you can grab the attention of shoppers---generate more foot traffic, especially if a window display, and draw interest to buying and collecting Lemax.

3
Decide on a display space (window, table, wall inset) and layout. When making this decision, look for an eye-catching spot, but keep in mind the available store space, walk-through areas, size of your collection and the display theme.
-
4
Arrange the base landscaping you've chosen, such as display mats, stone, platforms and/or train tracks, from the table-top up. For example, to create a Halloween display of the Haunted Galleon (item 35781) featured on stormy water near a beach, cut several sand mats and a dark blue ocean to look like sand and water. Arrange the ocean mat on top of the sand mats. Add boxes covered in additional sand mats, landscaping felt or fabric or seaside platforms to create dunes or cliffs, and follow with a wharf with piers and docks available in the Plymouth Corners theme (see Resources).
-
5
Add your single large collectible or village buildings following the layout you chose. With the above example, place the Haunted Galleon on your "ocean" by itself or with Plymouth Corners buildings and table pieces nearby on your cliffs or seaside platforms.
-
6
Place and arrange accessories and any additional lighting. With the Haunted Galleon example, add palms or spooky trees, treasure chests, figurines, smaller boats or any other relevant sea/Halloween themed collectible and accessories.

Tips & Warnings
Use sound to accent your themed display. You can use timed sounds such as owls hooting, wind whistling or creaky noises for Halloween, general city sounds for non-themed village displays or instrumental or vocal music at Christmas.
As many Lemax village pieces light up, always arrange cords away from traffic areas to the back of tables or underneath display mats or felt.
