There are many holidays during the year. Getting into the holiday spirit can be fun and easy. By hanging some inexpensive decorations before each holiday can bring your spirits up. Hanging decorations only takes an hour out of your day and the rewards for happiness are endless.

  • Seasonal holiday decorations
  • Thumb tacks
  • A tape measure
  1. Step 1
    Measure the area you want to decorate

    Decide on a place in your home that you would like to display holiday spirit. It may be in a front window, roof top, or on a table in your living room. After you choose the area in which to decorate you can measure it. Measure it so you know the how much decorations you will need.

  2. Step 2

    Next, clean the area that will be decorated. You may need to wash some windows, dust some furniture, or rake some leaves. Once this is done, you are ready to decorate.

  3. Step 3

    Shop, you are now ready to go to a shopping center and buy the seasonal decorations you want to hang up. If you have some already then skip to the next step.

    Begin at ground level and work up. Display the decorations toward your audience. If displaying in a window you will want to face them toward the outside. Make sure to tuck all wires and light cords up and under your window sill. If hanging on your fireplace mantel you will want to face then toward your living area.

  5. Step 5

    Last, you should take a look at your decorations from your audiences' view. Does it look even? Is it spaced correctly? Do you like the way it looks? If not, rearrange it. If it looks good, then you are done!
