First, locate a plasma donation center in your area. I emphasize the "in your area" because if the donation center is not near you, it will probably not be worth your time. The closer you are to a center, the more money you will end up making for your time.

Next, set up an initial appointment. It may take awhile to get in for this first appointment where they will do a "mini-physical" and check you out to be sure you are healthy enough to donate.

Once you have had the initial physical appointment, you are now set to donate. Schedule your appointments ahead of time because the centers tend to be busy. Before each donation they will check your blood with a finger prick usually. Then you will be hooked up to the plasma machine. The needle stick feels no worse than having your blood taken at the clinic. The entire donation process takes approximately one to one and a half hours.

In order to earn a steady income, you need to donate twice a week. This is usually the maximum they will allow. It is beneficial to donate twice a week because they usually pay you more for the second donation in any given week. For example, if you donate on a Monday, you may get $25.00, and if you donate again before the end of the week you may get $40.00.

Finally, check into other promotions they may be offering. Sometimes they have coupons for five extra dollar donations and often they give you referral bonuses.
