Cure Sleep Apnea

If you're looking for a cure for sleep apnea, you're in the right place!

Sleep apnea is caused when the aging process limits the ability of the brain to keep your throat muscles stiff during sleep. What happens is that they relax and a flap of skin (that is larger in over weight people) gets lodged in the throat. The result is that you begin choking on this flap of skin until you wake up in panic.

Sleep apnea can be really frustrating to have to deal with, which is why I will now teach you the EXACT steps to cure it!

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1
Stop drinking to help cure sleep apnea

Stop drinking and taking drugs! No, I don't mean stop drinking water -- I mean alcohol. Both drugs and alcohol are known to drastically slow down your respiratory system, which in turn can induce sleep apnea.

Okay, fine. Kicking the booze 100% may be hard, but if you are really serious about your health you will do it. Otherwise, at least cut your booze intake 50% as a start.

  2. Step 2
Lose weight to cure sleep apnea

Exercise and eat healthy! One can not put enough emphasis on the importance of this. After all, sleep apnea is caused by obesity, most of the time, so if you drop ten to fifteen pounds, you should see some good progress with your sleep apnea.

You should do about an hour of cardio or thirty minutes of high intensity interval training (HIIT) a day in order to really burn the fat.

Your diet is also a critical part of losing weight. Be sure to be eating 500 calories less than your maintenance level per day to drop 1 lb of solid fat a week.

  3. Step 3
Prop your head up on some pillows to help with sleep apnea

Elevate your head a few more inches to keep your throat from being blocked off. I recommend using two to three pillows to prop under your head each night. This will keep your neck from being flat and keep your throat from becoming vulnerable to sleep apnea.

You may not think this pillow technique would work very well, but you'd be surprised. Just give it a try -- trust me.
