Okay, fine. Kicking the booze 100% may be hard, but if you are really serious about your health you will do it. Otherwise, at least cut your booze intake 50% as a start. -
Step 2
Lose weight to cure sleep apneaExercise and eat healthy! One can not put enough emphasis on the importance of this. After all, sleep apnea is caused by obesity, most of the time, so if you drop ten to fifteen pounds, you should see some good progress with your sleep apnea.
You should do about an hour of cardio or thirty minutes of high intensity interval training (HIIT) a day in order to really burn the fat.
Your diet is also a critical part of losing weight. Be sure to be eating 500 calories less than your maintenance level per day to drop 1 lb of solid fat a week. -
Step 3
Prop your head up on some pillows to help with sleep apneaElevate your head a few more inches to keep your throat from being blocked off. I recommend using two to three pillows to prop under your head each night. This will keep your neck from being flat and keep your throat from becoming vulnerable to sleep apnea.
You may not think this pillow technique would work very well, but you'd be surprised. Just give it a try -- trust me.
