Step 1
At least once a month take the time to clean the inside of your dishwasher. This can easily be done by running your empty dishwasher through a cleaning cycle to which you have added 1/2 cup white vinegar and 1 cup baking soda. This will keep the inside of your dishwasher sparkling clean.
-
Step 2
Next, check the sprayer arm to see if it's clogged. To do this you will need to remove the sprayer arm and allow it to soak in a tub of warm water to which one cup of white vinegar has been added. This will help to loosen mineral deposits and food that may be clogging the sprayer.
-
Step 3
Then, after the sprayer arm has soaked for a couple of hours you, will need to clean out any of the spray holes that are still clogged. This needs to be done before you put the arms back into the dishwasher, otherwise it may not get your dishes as clean as it should. A needle or tooth pick works well for cleaning the spray holes.
-
Step 4
Finally, be sure to wipe around the door and gasket and to check the bottom of your dishwasher before you reattach the sprayer arm. Sometimes food and other debris will accumulate around the drain. This will need to be removed in order for your dishwasher to work more effectively.
