Things You'll Need:
- Skype Account
- Yahoo Mail
- Windows Mail (vista)
- HSIA access
- email addresses
- Skype button webpage
-
Step 1
The first thing you need is to go to Skypes site: http://www.skype.com/share/buttons/. The directions are very self explanatory, you just choose which selection you prefer, it is a wizard type program. When you have picked out the style and color of your button, a window will appear with HTML. Next you select all, copy the html that is in the box, open your notepad, or word pad, which ever you use, and paste what you just copied.
-
Step 2
First, if you use Yahoo Mail, you simply go to the options menu, to the right top of your page, when that window opens, you select Signature. When the signature box opens, then you go to the html that was saved in your text program, ie.notebook, right click and select all of the text, also with the right click select copy, then back to your signature box in Yahoo, just paste it in, save changes, and now your button will appear in the next email you send.
-
Step 3
With Windows mail, it is basically the same. With your Win mail opened, you go to tools, options, signatures, and again, copy the button you saved in note book, copy that html, and paste it in the signature box. Now your emails will display a really cool Skype button, so when contacts receive you email, they can click on your customized, or default button, and get all the info for your Skype account. Your friends may want to also download Skype themselves. It has saved so many of my mobile minutes, and that saves money. I bought a phone number from Skype, and I bought a 3 month subscription for $8 so I can call land lines, or cell phones free too. You don't have to buy anything to talk on this voip program, as long as the person you are calling also has the Skype program, so either way it is a great deal.
