How to Make Sugar Facial Wax

Waxing has been a popular method of removing unwanted hair for centuries. Sugar wax is generally made of a combination of sugar, water and lemon juice. It is easy to make at home and may be preferable for people who find that regular waxing damages their sensitive skin.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Medium sauce pan
  • Wooden spoon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  1. Step 1

    Add the water, sugar and lemon juice to the medium pan and boil over medium heat for about 5 minutes or until the mixture turns golden brown. Stir constantly.

  2. Step 2

    Allow the mixture to cool in the pan until it has a consistency similar to honey.

  3. Step 3

    Pour the mixture into a microwave-safe container.

  4. Step 4

    Use the mixture as soon as it is cool enough to touch or store in the fridge for up to one month. Reheat in the microwave, adding water if the mixture becomes too hard.
