How to Check Internet History

Web browsers store Internet surfing history on your computer, including Web pages addresses, cookies and temporary files. Checking your Internet history allows you to quickly retrieve particular information or visit a Web page you have visited before. It is also a way for parents to ensure that children do not visit inappropriate websites.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open your Web browser.

    • 2

Press "control H" on your keyboard to open a window with tabs.

    • 3

Select the "History" tab. Scroll down the list of visited websites to review the Internet history.

    • 4

Click on a particular website entry to expand the list of pages or links visited within that website. For example, click on "www.google.com" to see a list of Google search inquiries.
