How to Change a Password for MySpace

Changing a Myspace.com password takes only a few minutes. To change the password, you have to know your old password. If you don't know it, use the "forgot password" link on the log-in screen. You'll receive an email with a new password and you change the password as the instructions list below. Without a password, logging into an account is impossible. Passwords protect the security of the account and your information.

Things You'll Need:

  • MySpace account
  • Internet connection
  1. Step 1

    Go to http://myspace.com.

  2. Step 2

    Log into your account and then go to account settings.

  3. Step 3

    Click "Password" on the toolbar.

  4. Step 4

    Type your current password. Type your new password twice. MySpace requires that you then type in a security code. If you can't see the code, click the reload button next to the image.

  5. Step 5

    Click "Save All Changes." A confirmation email will arrive shortly after the change. Log out and log back in with the new password.

Tips & Warnings
  • Change your password every few months to better protect your account.
  • Do not choose an easy-to-guess password. Never give out your password.
