Healthy meals that are also fast can be a challenge. With some careful planning you can get healthy meals on the table in less time too.

  1. Step 1

    Plan your meals ahead of time each week. By planning ahead you can ensure you select quick, and easy recipes that are well balanced.

  2. Step 2

    On your grocery list be sure to include canned or frozen vegetables along with any fresh ones you are purchasing.

  3. Step 3

    Aim to cook extra so that you can use the left overs for other meals.

  4. Step 4

    Consider making a convenience meal, that is also a family favorite once a week. This is a great tip for times of the year when you have plans most evenings. Good choices here may be pizza or lasagna from the frozen food aisle. Add a salad and you have a great meal, quick and easy.

  5. Step 5

    Build around already cooked meats. Purchase cooked meats, by the pound at your local barbeque resteraunt. Cook the canned or frozen veggies and viola' you are done with dinner!

  6. Step 6

    Make use of crockpot cooking. This has become popular again. With a quick search on the internet you will find a number of meal ideas via your handy crock pot.
