How to Remove Mold and Mildew From Fabric The Easiest Way

We have all left some piece of clothing or fabric, say a tablecloth, in a dirty clothes pile and it became mildewed. Or left a tablecloth outside in the warm, damp weather and mold starts to grow on it. YUK!!! Now the hard problem of trying to remove the mold or mildew. Well it's really an easy process.

Things You'll Need

  • Mold or mildewed fabric
  • Tilex Mold & Mildew Remover
  • Spread the article with the mildew out so you can see every spot.

  • Test a small corner first with the Tilex Mold and Mildew remover to make sure it won't change the color. I used it on a red linen tablecloth and an orange tablecloth and they are both just as bright as ever. After waiting 10 mins and checking the color, spray the Tilex Mold and Mildew remover on the mildew stains. Wait until the mildew disappears (took mine about 10 mins).

  • Throw the article of clothing in the washing machine and wash as normal. When done, mildew gone and now you can keep that shirt or blouse that you loved.

Tips & Warnings

  • Wash on warm water if you are sure the article of clothing won't fade.
  • Be sure to test for color change on a small corner.
