How to Make Your Internet Much Faster
Waiting for websites to load in your browser can slow down your productivity and result in a frustrating experience. The slow speed of the Internet may not be the result of the Internet connection, but the Internet Explorer browser itself. There are settings in Internet Explorer that you can change or modify to make your Internet speed faster than it currently is. You can locate these settings in the Internet Options utility in Internet Explorer.

Increase Cache Size

Launch Internet Explorer, then click "Tools."

Select "Internet Options" from the drop-down list. The Internet Options window opens. Click the "General" tab.

Click the "Settings" button in the "Browsing History" section.

Click the "Automatically" box under "Check for Newer Versions of Stored Pages."

Click the up arrow in the "Disk Space to Use" box until the number of megabytes increases to at least 250. Click "OK" to save the changes.
Turn Off Graphics

Open the Internet Options window.

Click the "Advanced" tab, then scroll down the list of settings until you find "Multimedia."

Clear the checkboxes next to "Play Animations in Webpages," "Play Sounds in Webpages" and "Show Pictures."

Click the "Apply" button. Restart Internet Explorer for the changes to take affect.
