There are a lot of dog lovers that don't get dogs because they or a family member has allergies. It doesn't have to be that way. There are dogs that you can get that don't shed and make great pets. Here is how to find a non-shedding best friend.

  1. Step 1

    Consider a bichon frise. Bichons are small dogs that don't shed and make great pets. It's important to know that Bichons do require regular grooming and brushing. They are smart little dogs and easy to train.

  2. Step 2

    Think about a Labradoodle. This breed has become extremely popular in recent years. A cross between a Labrador retriever and a poodle, they are smart, energetic dogs that make great family pets. They do require regular grooming and have a lot of energy.

  3. Step 3

    Keep in mind a Yorkshire terrier. Yorkies are lovable little dogs that do not require as much exercise as some of the bigger breeds. They do need to be brushed and require regular grooming.

  4. Step 4

    Consider a Brussels griffon. Brussels griffons are cute, lively little dogs that do not require as much grooming as some of the other breeds.
