Child Playing a Leapfrog Game

Children's toys aren't as simple as they used to be, but with the added complexity comes new opportunities to learn. Leapfrog's Leapster is an educational toy that teaches children how to do math and how to spell words, among other things. These learning game systems are excellent for children, but they sometimes need to be recalibrated if they begin to freeze or stop working for periods of time. It's a quick and simple process that will keep your Leapster working properly throughout the life of the toy.

Things You'll Need

  • Leapfrog Leapster
  • Game cartridge

Instructions

    • 1

Put a game cartridge in the Leapster and wait for the first screen to load. You're waiting for the sign on screen that usually starts up a new game.

    • 2

Press the "Home", "B", and "Hint" buttons simultaneously.

    • 3

Push the "A" button immediately after you notice the screen change.

    • 4

Touch the middle of the screen using the Leapster's stylus.

    • 5

Play a game to ensure the Leapster is now recalibrated and working properly.

Tips & Warnings

  • In step three, if you wait more than a second or two after the screen changes, the game loads and you'll need to start over again.
