Things You'll Need:
- Bracelets
- Bright Clothes
- Makeup
-
Step 1
To dress Bollywood, you're going to need to get as much color on your body as possible. Bright colors! Bright yellows, pinks, oranges are great. Loose shirts with hanging beads or gems are great, too. Bollywood women also tend to show off their stomachs too, so if you want to, you can take the bottom hem of the front of your shirt and pull it up and tuck it into the neckline of the shirt.
-
Step 2
Load your arms up with lots of colorful bracelets! The metal ones are great, because they will create bangling noises, which adds to the Bollywood look. Mix and match the colors, and wear a ton on each arm! Basically, the more the better. The bracelets should be really cheap, and you can pick some up at Walmart. Pick up a jingly ankled to wear too!
-
Step 3
For Bollywood makeup, you're going to want to put on a lot of eyeliner. Get those dark beautiful Indian eyes. Don't be modest with the eye makeup—just lay it on. Bright colorful eyeshadow is great, too.
-
Step 4
Buy a package of little sticky jewel stickers, to put between your eyes. Choose a jewel sticker that will bring out your eye color. This will serve as the “Hindu dot,” and will really make you look Indian Bollywood. If you don't want to buy it, you can also take a dark red marker, and draw a dot between your eyes. This will create a similar Bollywood look.
-
Step 5
Long dark hair will look best to complete the Bollywood look, but if you don't have long hair, just pin your hair up with a clip that is very colorful and sparkly, so that it looks like long hair pinned up.
-
Step 6
Wear long dangly earrings, that are either very bright and colorful, or brown and Indian-gypsy-looking.
-
Step 7
Wear strappy sandals (preferably with jewels on them!). You can either wear a long skirt, or jeans, depending on how modern you want to look. Try to pick something that showcases your hips!
-
Step 8
Have fun! Practicing moving your hands like an Indian Bollywood dancer. Watch some Bollywood movies for more details!
