How to Style Your Hair Using the Chi Flat Iron

Things You'll Need

• Heat protector spray
• Brush
• Blow dryer

Instructions

1. Completely blow dry your hair. Your hair should not be wet at all when you begin using a flat iron.

2. Plug in the Chi flat iron and let it heat up. The LED light on the inside of the handle will turn on when you first plug it in. When the flat iron is fully heated, the LED light will start flashing.

3. Spray all of your hair with a mist of heat protector spray. This spray will protect your hair from the heat of the flat iron. Chi makes a heat protector spray, but any brand will work.

4. 

   Separate your hair into two sections by taking the top layers of your hair and tying them in a bun.

   Take a piece of hair about 3 inches in width and brush it with a hair brush. Take the Chi flat iron, clamp it on your piece of hair near the roots, and follow the brush. This technique will help straighten your hair. Constantly keep the flat iron moving down the strands of hair. Holding the flat iron in one place can damage your hair. Repeat this process if one part of your hair is not fully straightened.

6. Curl the ends of your hair by curling the flat iron under when you reach the ends of your hair.
