How to Repair Neoprene Waders

A good set of waders will allow you to take your fishing to a completely new level, allowing you to fish from the middle of a running stream. Nothing can ruin a good day quicker than finding out your waders have a hole, and finding yourself with wet feet in the wild. Repairing holes ensures you will have a satisfying day.

  • Waterproof sealing glue
  • Large tub or bowl
  • Water

Instructions

      Prepare the tub or bowl by filling it with water. The container must be big enough to dunk your waders.

      Submerge your waders in the water and note any escaping air bubbles where water is entering, being sure to keep the top of the waders above water, as this method will not work if the interior of your waders becomes filled with water before you can note leaks.

      Remove the waders and carefully dry them. Apply the sealing glue to any holes which the bubbles revealed, and allow it to dry. Submerge the waders again to ensure that all holes are sealed, and repeat until no air bubbles escape.
