How to Unlock a Dell Flat Panel Monitor

Dell flat panel monitors come with height-adjustable stands that can be raised or lowered to a height that is the most comfortable for an individual user. The flat panel monitors also include swivel and tilt adjustments, allowing them to be angled to a more effective viewing position for an individual. By adjusting your Dell monitor to a more suitable position, you can help reduce neck, arm and eye strain, providing yourself with a pain-free working environment.

Instructions

1. Push gently on the top of the Dell flat panel monitor. For the release button to work, you must b exerting pressure on the top of the unit.

2. Press the release button to unlock the monitor. This release button is located at the base of the stand on the back of the monitor unit.

3. Pull up on the monitor. Once the monitor is unlocked, the screen of the monitor should rise easily, while the base remains on the table or desk.

4. Adjust the screen to a proper height. With the monitor unlocked, you can raise or lower the screen to adjust it to a position that works best for you.
