Finding a job where you can work from the comfort of your own home can be challenging, unless you know how to research. Finding a job in this economy can be difficult in local markets. With a work at home job, you won't spend money on gas, save time by not having to drive and best of all, work in your pajamas.

    First, know what you are wanting to do online. Online jobs can include writing, sales, customer service and personal assistance work. Create or update your resume and have it ready to send with your application. Be sure not to include your full physical address for security purposes.

    Websites are there that have valuable information about working at home jobs. One in particular is www.ratracerebellion.com. This website gives an extensive list of work at home jobs. Some jobs require a background check, credit check and paid training. The website provides information for all areas. Forums can also have valuable information. www.wahm.com is a place where people can discuss working at home jobs and how they feel about them. Another great resource is www.workplacelikehome.com. This forum has a thread where jobs are posted called "Work at Home Job Leads." Click on the thread and check out what people are saying. The links to these sites are below.

    Be sure to do your research on each company and be aware of scams. Remember to never pay to be a part of the company. Some jobs require a background check and want you to pay. Research the company. If you are curious to see of a position is a scam search the name of the company and put scam at the end to read the results.
