- Dog treats

Step 1
Get your dog treats ready. Break them up into smaller pieces to get the most out of them. You'll be using a lot.

Step 2
Get on the floor with your dog. Say "roll over" and with your hands, physically make your dog roll over. Reward with a treat.

Step 3
Do this many times and every once in a while, just say, "roll over" to see if he will do it on his own. If he doesn't, physically make him after you say the command and reward with a treat again.

Step 4
Eventually your dog will learn that when you say "roll over" he is supposed to roll over and will do it. Make sure you reward with a treat when he does.
