Cook a Simple Vegan Thanksgiving
Cook a Simple Vegan Thanksgiving

Being a vegan around the holiday season may pose a problem if you are hosting but it does not have to. You can prepare most of the holiday favorites and traditions with a little substitutions. Check out below how this can be done.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tofurkey
  • smart balance buttery spread
  • flaxseed
  • canola oil
  1. Step 1

First of all think of the holiday traditions. Turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and maybe some other family traditions.

  2. Step 2

Buy a turkey for your guests. Even though you are a vegan, some people may not want to eat Tofurkey on a traditional holiday such as Thanksgiving.

  3. Step 3

Go and purchase yourself a Tofurkey Roast. Each box of Tofurkey includes .... One Tofurky Roast (made with organic non-genetically engineered soybeans), eight cranberry apple potato dumplings, giblet & mushroom gravy, wild rice, whole wheat bread crumb stuffing, and jurky wishstix. This serves four people and is 100% vegan.

Now this can just be for you or encourage your other guests to try.

  4. Step 4

You do not have to use all of the items in the Tofurkey box. You can simply just use the roast, put the other items away for later use and make the normal trimmings. To make the normal trimmings for the turkey click the link below in other resources to get the correct substitutions and their measurements.

  5. Step 5

Enjoy your meal and ask your guests on their opinions so you can make it better next time.

Tips & Warnings
  • Alot of ingredients that may seem vegan may not be. Check the website in the references if you are unsure.
