Looking to promote your new website? Here are some practical ways to get your website seen:

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

PRINT MEDIA ADVERTISING: One of the best ways to advertise your new website is to add your website to EVERYTHING!!! Invoices, letterhead, business cards, envelopes, folders, flyers, posters, newsletters, brochures, t-shirts, direct mail advertisements, giftcards/certificates, hats, keychains, and postcards.

  2. Step 2

GUESTBOOK: If you have a store or physical location, add a small guestbook to your counter with a sign that states that your new website is up and running. Allow visitors to sign up.

  3. Step 3

ONLINE ADVERTISING: Increase your website visability by using cost per click ads, banners, a blog, facebook, myspace, twitter, and linkedin.

  4. Step 4

BUSINESS SUPPLIES: Add your website to your pens, pencils, notepads, calendars, address labels, ink stamps, sticky notes, mousepads, and computer monitors.

  5. Step 5

DISPLAYS: Add your website to yard signs, window decals, car decals, and banners that are viewable to the public. Most people can remember a good website name better than a phone number.

  6. Step 6

OTHER COMPANY ADVERTISEMENTS: If you know of another company that is posting an ad, pay them a fee to display your logo on their advertisements.

  7. Step 7

OTHER COMPANY WEBSITES: Partner with other websites to display their logo on your page in exchange for your logo displayed on their website.

  8. Step 8

DIGITAL CORRESPONDENCE: Add your website to your email signature, your auto responders when someone fills out a form on your website, or within your online newsletter.

  9. Step 9

SEARCH ENGINES: Add your website to Google, Yahoo, Bing, and AOL for internet promotion and exposure.
