Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

See a doctor for a physical. You want to make sure you won't have a heart attack and also that your knees will be able to take the pounding you're about to do.

  2. Step 2

Make sure you have a good pair of running shoes or workout shoes. This will help with foot pain and shin splints.

  3. Step 3

OK, once you have the shoes and a nice jump rope. You can start. First warm up, start with some jumping jacks for a few minutes. Then do about 100 or 200 jumps with the rope.

Once you are fully warmed up with a nice little sweat, try walking while jumping rope. As you get in better shape, start jogging with the jump rope. I tell you it is a new experience. Fun
