As the season changes to autumn, it is time to decorate for fall. Use these techniques to capture the beautiful colors of autumn in your home as you welcome cooler weather. You can decorate for autumn with these inexpensive changes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Change fall color throw pillows. Add throw pillows to your sofa or couch that showcase the rich colors of autumn. Stick to those that are the colors of the changing leaves of fall foliage.

  2. Step 2

Add a wreath to the front door. Using a grapevine wreath as a base, add leaves that are the color of fall foliage with a glue gun. Alternating the rich colors will add a touch of autumn to your front door. Also add fall flowers to a pot by the front door.

  3. Step 3

Change bed linens. Exchange summer bed linens for those with rich colors. Add a warm blanket for those chilly fall nights. Down comforters can be encased in a duvet cover in burgundy, burnt orange or a deep green.

  4. Step 4

Decorate tabletops with fall table decoration. Use gourds or pumpkins to decorate tabletops throughout your home. They will add a punch of color to your décor.

  5. Step 5

Add towels to the bathroom and kitchen. Guest towels and dish towels in autumn colors will add that warm feeling of autumn to your home. Don't forget to change out throw rugs as well to match your new fall décorations.
