Playing Basketball H-O-R-S-E is a great neighborhood game. If you want to beat everyone in the neighborhood you should know some good trick shots to eliminate the competition. Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Basketball
  • Basketball Hoop
  1. Step 1

Position yourself in the middle of the lane about 8 to 10 feet from the basket. You should be straight out from the basket so you have the whole backboard to work with.

  2. Step 2

Rotate your body so your back is to the basket.

  3. Step 3

Position the basketball in your hands as if you were taking a normal shot. This is important, as it will provide the proper spin when shooting.

  4. Step 4

With your feet shoulder width apart, put your weight on the balls of your feet. This will help keep your balance when bending backwards.

  5. Step 5

Tilt your chin up straight up and back until you can see the basket.

  6. Step 6

While looking at the basket, raise the ball up and take the shot back over your head. It is important to shoot like a normal shot by releasing your guide hand and following through.

Tips & Warnings
  • Practice shooting straight in and shooting it off the backboard—find the one that is most comfortable for you.
