    You join Ehow thinking of writing about one of your hobbies such electronics or gardening or what have you. You write a few articles and then writer's block strikes. You are down and out and cant pull out an idea to save your life. So how do you brainstorm Ideas for new Ehow articles?

    First a pen and paper are needed. When thinking of new ideas write down every single one so you don't forget it.If you come up with a hundred new ideas and don't write them down then you wont remember any of them.
    The secret to writing how to articles is realizing how much you really know how to do. Do not limit yourself to your hobbies. If you have a job then you know how to do many things for example if you are a nurse you could write articles like " how to dress a wound", How to measure heart rate, "How to prevent the spreading of germs". "How to use an epipen" You can use your job know how to write many articles.

    Everyone retains a large amount of information about daily life. You could write about any tricks you know about washing stains out of clothes or the fastest way to change a diaper there are a million and one possibilities.

    Remember to go outside the box. Break down large how to articles into more specific how to articles (require a decent amount of info). Use knowledge from everyday life and from your job. If you have run out of ideas take some time and learn new things that you can write about. Learn about something you want to know and then write about it.

Tips & Warnings
  • take the time to search your article ideas and make sure there isn't a massive number of identical articles or you may lose them to library sweeps.
