Instructions

    • 1

Create the background of the scene before anything else. Use Christmas foil to cover the entire door. This will give you a canvas to start and keep the door looking professional and appropriate for a workplace.

    • 2

Gather pictures of family and friends in winter scenes to tape to the foil. Attach the photos in a way that it creates a border around the foil. This leaves an opening in the middle for placing homemade pictures from your children or grandchildren, pictures of Christmas's past or anything related to the season.

    • 3

Cut or shred sheets of computer paper and glue to the foil door to create snowflakes. Add garland of any color and a set or two of white Christmas lights. Any Christmas cards you receive can be attached to the door, as well as candy canes.

    • 4

Allow co-workers to add trinkets to the door as Christmas vacation approaches. They can make wish lists or notes in the shapes of wreathes, Christmas candy, trees, snowmen or Santa Claus. This breaks the monotony of work and gets everyone excited for the holidays. Once the holidays are over, take pictures to give to your fellow workers and save the mural as a keepsake.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use poster glue or dots to adhere everything together. Traditional tape rips and tears and leaves marks on doors.
