Things You'll Need
- Overhead projector
- Overhead transparencies
- Marker
- Picture
- Empty wall space
- Paint
- Paintbrushes
- Pencil

Choose a picture you would like to turn into your wall mural. Keep it simple.

Place a clear transparency over the picture and trace the picture with the marker. You can use more than one transparency if it is a wide picture. Number the transparencies in order from left to right.

Place the traced transparency on the overhead projector.

Turn on the projector and center the image on the area you would like the mural. Adjust the zoom as needed to make the projection the correct size.

Trace the projected image on the wall with the pencil. Erase any mistakes you make.

Use your paint and paintbrushes to fill in the color of the traced image on the wall.

You can rent an overhead projector from your local library. You can buy overhead transparencies from an office supply store. Keep your picture simple and manageable for your painting level. Try to minimize the number of colors you use. Make sure the wall is clean and dry before painting. Use interior wall paints. You can buy small trial sizes of different colors at your local home and paint store.
The more difficult the picture, the more painting and shading you will need to do.
