Things You'll Need:
- 260Q balloons (a standard size indicating 2 inches diameter by 60 inches long when inflated)

Step 1
Inflate the balloon, leaving about 4 inches deflated at the end. Wrap the nozzle end around you finger and pull it through to make a knot.

Mark off about 6 inches from the nozzle end of the balloon and fold down, making sure the two sides lie flush against each other.

Squeeze the balloon about 2 inches from the nozzle end and twist firmly a couple of times. Release the balloon to make sure the twists hold. This forms the ears of the dog.

About 2 inches from the ear, fold over another 6 inches on the opposite side of the balloon and twist to make the front leg. Count off another 4 inches and repeat to make the back legs. When looking at the balloon sideways, the ear should be facing up and the two legs should be facing down. The nozzle end makes the nose of the dog.

Blow up the balloon completely then allow to deflate. This stretches the balloon out and makes it easier to blow up a second time. Wrap the deflated balloon three times around two fingers (it's easiest to use your ring and middle finger) and blow up a second time, holding the end of the balloon with your thumb to keep it in place. Tie a knot at the end of the balloon.

Step 2
Mark off about an inch from the loose end (the end without the nozzle) and twist off three times. This forms the head.

Six inches from the head, bend the balloon back on itself and twist off this section. Working with the part of the balloon that's away from the head, tuck in about an inch of balloon to make the crest of the cobra snake.

Step 4
To make the snake's neck stand up, pinch the balloon about 6 inches from the crest, forcing the air out temporarily and bending it. This will make the cobra sit up on its coil.
