How to Tell What Version of Internet Explorer You Have

Internet Explorer is one of the most well-known Web browsing software programs in the world. Throughout the years, numerous different changes have been made to Internet Explorer, and thus there have been several versions of the program released. If you are using a different computer than your own, such as at work or a hotel, you may be curious as to which version of Internet Explorer is installed on that machine. You can learn which version of Internet Explorer you have directly within the program.

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Click on the "Help" option at the top of Internet Explorer. A drop box will open.

3. Select "About Internet Explorer." A window will open.

4. Read the numbers next to the "Version" header in the window. This will tell you the exact version of Internet Explorer that is currently running on your computer.
