1
Lie down. One of the best things you can do for a bulging disk is to rest. Spend a few days in bed, lying flat with a comfortable pillow under your head.
-
2
Take hot baths. Lying in a hot bath can help to relax your back muscles, taking strain off your spine. You want the bath to be hot, but not uncomfortable.

3
Do mild stretches. Get on all fours, and arch your back. Hold for 5 seconds, then release. Do this several times a day.

4
Talk to your doctor about cortisone injections, which will lessen the inflammation due to the bulging disk.

Talk to your doctor about surgery. Unfortunately, sometimes the only way to heal a bulging disk is to have the bulge surgically removed.
