The radiator on a 2003 Infinity G35 forces coolant through the engine to draw heat away from the engine. In this way, it acts like a large heat sink. High temperatures, while a necessary byproduct of an internal combustion engine, can damage internal parts. Over time, however, the radiator fluid may become filled with debris from the engine, or water may evaporate from the system. It's generally a good idea to replace the radiator fluid every two years. To do that, you first need to drain the radiator.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Open the hood and locate the lower radiator hose on the radiator. The radiator is located in the front of the vehicle just behind the bumper. The lower hose is on the bottom of the radiator.

  2. Step 2

Place a catch pan underneath the radiator.

  3. Step 3

Loosen the hose clamp securing the lower hose to the radiator and slide the hose clamp out of the way.

  4. Step 4

Pull the radiator hose off and allow the radiator to drain into the catch pan.
