How to Decorate Bundt Cakes

Bundt cakes are very popular and have been around since the early 1900s. more than 1-million Bundt cake pans are sold every year. These interestingly shaped cakes can be tricky to decorate. Here is a solution that not only makes it easier to frost but cuts the calories by only using half of the frosting. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Frosting
  • Microwave
  • Bundt cake
  • Cooling Rack
  • Spoon
  • Powdered sugar

      When the Bundt cake is done baking, turn it upside down on a baking rack to cool. Gently wiggle the cake around using a spatula torelease from the pan.

      Remove the lid and foil seal from the tub of frosting. Put it in the microwave for a few seconds. The time varies depending on the microwave. The goal is to get it to be soft, but not runny.

      Put the Bundt cake on the platter from which you will be serving it. Using a spoon, drizzle the icing down the sides of the cake. You should only need to use about half of the can.

      For a special touch, add a light coat of powdered sugar over the icing. Put the powdered sugar in a sifter and sift it holding it over the cake.
