Tired of spending a fortune on moisturizing body scrubs in the bath and body stores? This is a very economical way to make your own and save a bundle. This is how to make a moisturizing body scrub out of salt.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • coarse salt either sea salt, kosher salt, or canning salt.
  • baby oil
  • lavender essential oil
  • pure vanilla extract
  • jar to store it in
  • spoon to stir with
  1. Step 1

    To make a moisturizing body scrub out of salt you need to gather all your ingredients.

  2. Step 2

    Measure out 1 1/2 cups of your salt of choice. Put it into a bowl.

  3. Step 3

    Add 3/4 cup baby oil. You can purchase scented baby oils with lavender scent already in them or just plain baby oil is good. Stir the salt and oil together.

  4. Step 4

    Now add about 20 drops of lavender essential oil or your scent of choice. You can purchase aroma therapy oil for this also.

  5. Step 5

    Put in 1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract and stir well.

  6. Step 6

    Now you are ready to put it into a jar for later use.

  7. Step 7

    This is so easy and is great for moisturizing and exfoliating your skin. That is how to make a moisturizing body scrub out of salt.

Tips & Warnings
  • This does not go bad. It will last a long time.
  • Use any oil you prefer.
