How to Look Stylish In Unpierced Earrings

For a variety of reasons, some women cannot wear pierced earrings. Those of us who don't have access to the immense number of stylish pierced earrings often feel left out of the ear glam. However, with a little know-how, it's easy to dress up your ears just as fashionably as everyone else.

1. 

   Unpierced earrings are available in several different forms, some being more comfortable and/or more stylish than others. The "clip" form is one of the more common; it's fine for hoops and dangles, but it makes non-dangle earrings too bulky.

2. 

   "Spring" fasteners are very comfortable, especially after being worn for a few weeks, and they're often used on hoops. It's hard to tell if spring earrings are unpierced or not.

3. 

   "Magnetic" earrings have come into widespread use the last couple of years. However, magnetic earrings are often too big, although you can find some pretty ones if you look hard enough. The stud pairs I've had have posed the problem of not staying on very well. I do have thicker ears than most so that is probably not a general issue, but if you have larger ear lobes I would steer clear of the magnetic stud earrings.

   There are not as many "screw" fastenings used anymore, but they're still being used. They're very comfortable to wear - you can adjust the earring's grip yourself - and they look good with longer dangle or chandelier earrings.

   There are some "slide" earrings available, which just slide on the earlobe; I wouldn't recommend them, as they're often cheap and sometimes too big.

6. 

   When buying unpierced earrings, "Dangle is the thing." Chandelier and drop earrings are very becoming; a classic pair of hoops will take your outfit far. You want to go for slender lines and avoid bulkiness, and bane of unpierced earrings.
