How to Create a Space Saving Personalized Laundry Sorting System

Too bulky for my laundry room!

I do not have a lot of space in my laundry room. A standard laundry hamper just did not fit in my laundry room. I had to get creative. I wanted a system so I could sort my clothes into 3 categories. Of course you can create a system to include as many categories of laundry as you need. I have 3 categories; dark colors, light colors and whites. I went to the store and bought 3 laundry bags, one for each laundry category. I also bought 3 hooks, to hang the laundry bags on a wall.

Things You'll Need

• 3 laundry bags
• 3 hooks
• hardware to hang the hooks

Instructions

1. 

   Buy 3 laundry bags in 3 different colors. Make certain that the laundry bags have "hang loops". I prefer to buy a washable bag, like a canvas material. If it gets dirty, I can just throw it in the wash.

2. 

   Buy 3 wall hooks. Most hooks will have the installation hardware included. If you will be mounting the hooks on drywall, make sure you buy special drywall screws and drywall anchors.

3. 

   Measure the area where you will be hanging your laundry sorting system. Decide what configuration will work best for you and your wall space.
