Things You'll Need:
- Tulle (netting found in craft and sewing stores)
- Candy
- Ribbon
-
Step 1
Cut the tulle into 6" x 6" squares. You can find tulle in 6 inch wide spools or by the bolt. Spools will be quicker to cut since they are normally 6 inches wide but purchasing by the bolt may be more economical. A spool that is 6 inches wide by 25 yards will make approximately 150 wedding favors.
Tulle can also be purchased in pre-cut circles. Either will work beautifully. -
Step 2
Fill with candy. Place a few pieces of candy in the center of each square. Popular choices are foil wrapped chocolate bells, foil wrapped Dove hearts (great for a Valentine's Day wedding them) and candy coated almonds.
Consider the time and place of the reception when choosing the candy. For example, if you were having an outdoor summer wedding and reception chocolate wouldn't hold up well in the heat. -
Step 3
Tie the fabric. Pull the fabric together and tie each wedding favor with a thin piece of ribbon, forming a bow. Now you have an elegant yet cheap wedding favor to share with your guests.
