How to Make The Perfect Club Sandwich

As with just about any sandwich this is a pretty quick and easy recipe. Bring your appetite, this will be a large sandwich. You can experiment with cheese combinations or condiments to customise the sandwich to your preference. Before you begin to experiment, try the original recipe first. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Sliced thin roast beef from the deli
  • Sliced turkey breast from the deli
  • Sliced provolone cheese
  • Sliced Colby cheese
  • 1 loaf of cottage bread
  • 1 bag of shredded lettuce
  • Mayonnaise
  • 1 large tomato

Instructions

    • 1

      *Preparing the toppings.
      First rinse and slice your tomato into equal slices. Open your bag of shredded lettuce and set it next to your sliced tomato. You can set your packages of sliced meat and cheese by the tomato.

      *Preparing the cottage bread.
      On your plate set two pieces of cottage bread. On one side spread on the mayonnaise. Make sure you get a good layer of mayonnaise, this will be a thick sandwich.

      *Making the Perfect Club Sandwich.
      Take three slices of the roast beef and fold in half one after the other, laying them almost on top of each other. Then take three slices of the turkey and layer them on top of the roast beef. Fold and layer the turkey the same way. Take one slice of provolone cheese and place it on the turkey. Grab one slice of Colby cheese and place it on the provolone. Cover the cheese with a good portion of shredded lettuce.
      Almost done, place two tomato slices on top of the lettuce.

      *Serving the Perfect Club Sandwich.
      Once you have added the tomatoes to the top, you can salt and pepper your tomatoes. Add the other piece of cottage bread on top of the sandwich and cut in half.
