Step 1
First you need to identify an age of when you would want to talk to your kids about drugs. I personally think 13 is the perfect age, they are just now getting into their teenage years and will more likely be spending more time away from home with friends than ever before.

Step 2
You now need to sit down with your child and let them know you need to talk about peer pressure. Don't tell them its mainly to talk about drugs cause they might just get offended saying they would never do that and walk away.
-
Step 3
Begin with talking about how other individuals might peer pressure them into trying cigarettes or alcohol.
-
Step 4
After talking with them about cigarettes and alcohol, begin to discuss with them the legality, the trouble, and the effects from using drugs. Tell them not only can you get in alot of trouble, but it can have long term consequences and can kill you.
-
Step 5
Finally reiterate that no matter what the circumstances are do not fold to peer pressure, not only to stay away form drugs, but alcohol and cigarettes as well.
