Wanna get fit without the expense of a gym membership or a elliptical? This can become a problem for many people around the world. Many households now have gaming systems and a popular one is the Wii. There is a great game now available that can allow you to get fit for just $50. That game is Wii Active!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wii
  • WiiMotes
  • Wii Active Game
  • Leg Band (one included with game)
  • Resistance Band (one included with game)
  • Motivation!
  1. Step 1

Purchase the Wii Active Game and insert the disc into the gaming system. The game will guide you step by step if you need help. You will need to place the leg strap on yourself for the exercises that require the Nunchuk to be placed on your thigh. Also make sure you put the wrist strap on your wrist to avoid the Wiimote from flying towards the TV. You will want to have the resistance band handy for when you need to use it.

  2. Step 2

It is your choice on how your workout with unfold. You can follow the 30 day challenge or take it day by day with your own created workouts. It is all up to you. You also can choose between easy, moderate, or hard workouts. Believe me you will be sweating, even with moderate. The workouts usually last about 15-20 minutes but you can easily make them longer or shorter whichever you prefer. You can also create your own workouts with whatever types of activities you want, like sports, cardio, legs, arms, etc.

  3. Step 3

Begin your workout once you have decided what you prefer to do for that day. Get your motivation and do not quit! The game goes through each workout and will give you great explanations and demonstrations of how to do each workout. This game is not a confusing, brain teaser like many workouts and games may be.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try to work out every day and keep on schedule with the 30 day challenge. It is made that way for your best possible results. You will feel the burn from the workouts if you do them right, and you will sweat!! Keep up the good work and choose the right foods!!
  • Be careful of doing these workouts in multi-level apartments, it does make a lot of noise when running and jumping.

on 10/7/2009 Thanks for the article about Wii Active. We just got a Wii fit, and are unsure as to which disc to purchase for it. This sounds like a good one! If you have any experience with the personal trainer, or any of those other titles, I hope that you will write articles about those as well! 5* and recommend!
