Conduct the restoration process. Click "Continue" when the Windows Security notification appears. When the "System Restore" window opens click "Next" to proceed. Select a specific date for restoration by clicking once on the date of your choice when the next screen loads. Click "Next" once again to confirm your selection. Select the "Restore" action on the final screen to complete the process.
Restart your computer. Once the restoration process is complete, click on your "Start" menu icon once again. Select the "Restart" action and allow your computer to shut down and reboot successfully.

Tips & Warnings
- It is highly recommended that all non-essential programs and windows be closed before you conduct the system restoration process. This ensures that you avoid any possible freezes or loss of important documents. Restart your computer after you restore your system. This action is mandatory in order for your system to update and configure its recent changes. If you do not restart your computer, your changes may not be configured properly.
- To retrieve specific Internet history, you must remember the exact day of the Internet activity you are trying to recover in order to restore to a date prior to the deletion. Restoring to a point that dates back further than you need will not alleviate the problem. These instructions are based solely on navigation through Windows Vista.
