Step 1
Make sure that you have broadband internet connection. A broadband connection and can be satellite, cable, or phone; whichever you decide to use will work fine as they all perform the same. A dial up connection will make whatever show you choose to watch freeze up since the speed of a dial up connection is not fast enough.
A broadband connection is needed because online shows work with streaming technology a broadband connection is needed to insure that the show you are watching streams fast so that the picture quality is clear and the show does not freeze. -
Step 2
Make sure that you have a flash player or a media player installed on your computer. As long as you have Adobe Flash player, Windows Media Player, or RealPlayer on your computer you will be able to watch TV online. If you already have a flash or media player on your computer make sure that you are using the latest version.
You can download all flash and media players for free on the internet. -
Step 3
Find the show you would like to watch. You can visit the shows broadcasting network Some of the famous networks include, MTV, CBS, ABC, USA, and TLC to name a few. So before you go searching the internet try to find the show on the network website and this is both easy and free. Once you get to the network website find the tab or link that is titled SHOW or HD TV, and click on it. Locate the show that you desire to watch within the tab. Once you click on the show tab you need to locate the episode number you are interested in.
Some networks will not have older season episodes listed, but if it is a major show many of them will have several seasons listed. -
Step 4
Once you find the show you want to watch, click on the show, and when it appears inside of the media player push play. You will have to watch a short 30 second commercial before the show starts and maybe another one or two during the duration of the show.
