1. You will need to buy a cage,you can get one for cheap at PetCo or any other pet supplier.The cage will need to be big enough for your hamster to run freely around in,I'd suggest buying a cage without metal bars,because your hamster could chew on these and it could cause serious problems to your hamster's health.

2. You will need to buy bedding for your hamster,your pet store associate can help you with this purchase.Spread the bedding about two inches in the cage,so that your hamster can dig underneath it.

3. There's a variety of hamster food on the market,you may wish to experiment with different kinds to see what kind your hamster prefers.Hamsters don't really eat a lot,but it's a good idea to keep a check and refill as needed.Hamsters drink a lot of water,so you will probably need to replenish this a lot more.
