Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • caramels
  • evaporated milk
  • German Chocolate Cake mix
  • melted margarine
  • chocolate chips
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees and greas a 9x13 baking pan. Meanwhile, melt one 14 oz. package of caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk in the microwave. Set aside.

  2. Step 2

    In a medium size mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, 1/2 cup evaporated milk (not from above..you need more evaporated milk) and melted margarine. Mix well. Spread half of the mixture into the greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes!

  3. Step 3

    Remove from oven and sprinkle 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips over baked mixture. Pour caramel mixture from step one over the mixture. Using a kitchen knife, spread the press the remaining dough (it will be thick) over the caramel mixture. It will not cover completely. Return to oven and bake another 18 minutes. Allow brownie recipe to cool. Cut into small squares before serving! Enjoy!
