Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

  • vanilla

  1. Step 1
    Cookie press
    Cookie press

I am not a cook or baker. So I pretend and when I find a recipe I over use it. These cookies have never failed me, trust me I can really ruin a good cookie. They are roll out kind but if your like me and dont like the mess you can always use a cookie press (see image) They do not need to be refrigerated so if you need cookies in a hurry these cookies are the best.

  2. Step 2

If you want chocolate you can always frost them with chocolate frosting from the store. If you add 1/3 cup of sugar and 1/3 cup of cinnamin to the 3rd cup of flour you will have snickerdoodles. I also tried adding a half a can of pumpkin pie instead off 1/2 the butter and they tasted like pumpkin cookies for Halloween.

  3. Step 3

No Fail Sugar cookie recipe: by Wilton
1cup butter softened, 1 cup sugar, 1 lg egg, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 tsp baking powder, 3 cups flour.... Preheat oven to 400 F. Cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add baking powder and flour, one cup at a time, mixing after each addition. Blend last cup of flour by hand it will be very thick.

  4. Step 4

Do not chill dough. If you want you can on a floured surface roll out the dough and cut cookie shapes. Or you can put them in a cookie press and place them on a slightly greased (pam spray) cookie sheet. Bake for 6 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown

Tips & Warnings
  • make sure the butter and sugar is really blended well before moving on
  • a wooded spoon and stiff spatula are very helpful with the last cup of flour.
  • Oven is hot
