Things You'll Need:
- water
- lip balm with natural oils
- olive oil
- sugar lip exfoliator
- cloth or toothbrush
- vitamin E
-
Step 1
Avoid licking your lips. Licking your lips may seem like a quick fix to moisten lips but it actually has the opposite effect. Your lips will dry out because you're rubbing away the moisture with your tongue.
-
Step 2
Drink plenty of water. Water is very important to hydrate the body. Lips show dehydration quicker because of the thin skin they have. So drink water to hydrate from within your body to promote healthy soft lips.
-
Step 3
Use a good lip balm that will moisturize your lips. A good lip balm will have natural oils and ingredients such as shea butter and vitamin E. These natural ingrdients will help to keep your lips soft.
Make sure the lip balm has an spf 30 at least to protect them from the sun to avoid unhealthy wrinkly lips. -
Step 4
Exfoliate your lips weekly. There are products specifically to exfoliate your lips or you can make your own lip exfoliator by combining olive oil with sugar in a bowl. Then rub the oil olive/ sugar mixture on your lips using either a clean cloth or a toothbrush. Gently scrub the mixture in a circular motion to smoothen your lips.
-
Step 5
Keep your lips nourished at night by applying olive oil, oil from a vitamin E capsule, or natural oils on the lips. Make this a nighttime ritual to maintain the health of your lips.
