Trucks are the two metal pieces on a skateboard on which the wheels are attached. The only reasons for not having the trucks on a skateboard are if the skateboard is a display or if the skateboard is about to be painted. Getting the trucks back on the skateboard isn't difficult and should just about five minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Skate tool or a Phillips-head screwdriver
  • Socket wrench
  • Two skateboard trucks
  • Eight skateboard screws and nuts
  1. Step 1

Center the skateboard trucks over the truck screw holes so that you can see directly through the skateboard.

  2. Step 2

Push the truck screws through the screw holes and the holes in the skateboard trucks.

  3. Step 3

Put the nuts on the screws and tighten them with your fingers.

  4. Step 4

Push the skate tool or a Phillips-head screwdriver into the head of one of the truck screws and then put the socket wrench over the nut to hold it in place.

  5. Step 5

Tighten the nut by twisting the truck screw clockwise until it can't turn anymore. Tighten the other seven nuts the same way, and both of the trucks will be on the skateboard.
