How to Create a New Yahoo Email

Yahoo! mail is a free web-based email service offered worldwide by Yahoo Inc. Yahoo mail provides a fast and user friendly interface as well as the ability to send attached files (up to 10 megabytes). In May 2007, Yahoo announced the unlimited email storage that has greatly simplified email managing. However, free Yahoo email does not support the POP protocol communication and forwarding service, but it is possible to upgrade to the Premium account with those features.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Open your web browser and navigate to Yahoo.com.

  2. Step 2

    Click the "Sign Up" link located in the right upper corner of the page to open the account registration page.

  3. Step 3

    Fill out the registration information including your name, gender, birth date, your country of residence and zip code.

  4. Step 4

    Choose a unique name for your Yahoo email account and a password. Then select two security questions using the drop-down listboxes and type your answers in the fields. Those questions can be used to retrieve a forgotten password.

  5. Step 5

    Type the code shown (a combination of letters and numbers) in the corresponding field. Finally, check the box to agree with Yahoo terms and conditions, and click the button "Create My Account."

  6. Step 6

    Click "Continue" to go directly to your new Yahoo email account.
