How to get to Recovery Mode on my Sansa MP3?
The "Recovery Mode" on a Sansa MP3 player can be used to completely format and erase all data on the device. If the player is experiencing problems and the software has to be uninstalled and reinstalled, you must first enter "Recovery Mode." Because of the fragility of the player while in this mode, it can only be entered in a very specific way, but that process should only take a few moments to do.
