Things You'll Need:
- Internet Connection
- Formula Checks
-
Step 1
Try Parents Choice or other private label formulas. They have many different varieties at about half the price of the national brands. Many parents try these brands with great success, however, some babies can't tolerate these formulas do to allergies. If a store brand formula doesn't work for you, saving money on formula will take a little more work but is still possible.
-
Step 2
Sign up to receive formula checks from the manufacture of your baby's formula. These checks will help you save a few dollars on every purchase you make. It isn't much but every little bit helps.
-
Step 3
Check for printable coupons for your formula as well. Every so often Enfamil, Similac, and Good Start will put out a printable coupon. These coupons are usually pretty high dollar but are pretty rare. Always check to see if one is available before you go out to buy formula.
-
Step 4
Look to see if your baby's formula is on clearance. Usually, these cans are the same formula as the one that are full price but there has been a label change so it goes on sale. If you are lucky enough to find formula on clearance stock up! You can easily save half off this way.
-
Step 5
Consider buying formula from other parents who over bought. On sites like Cheapcycle.com and Craigslist.com you will occasionally see people selling cans of formula for around half price. Typically these parents over bought or bought the wrong formula and are just trying to make a little money back. If you do this make sure the cans are unopened and in date.
